Shield Marshall reqs in "Guns Everywhere" setting

Rules Questions

For the prestige class Shield Marshall (unofficial: Grand Marshall), one of the required feats is Gunsmithing.
Gunsmithing is something every Gunslinger and Gunslinger Archetype starts with at level 1 due to their class feature, Gunsmith, which besides allowing them to start with a firearm that non-Gunsmiths have trouble using, also grants them Gunsmithing as a bonus feat.
Gunsmithing itself is not very useful in a "Guns Everywhere" setting, as explained in the firearm rules, because firearms and related ammunition are so cheap to buy in that setting. The only real benefit it gives in that setting is the ability to repair broken status with the proper time and equipment, which is not very useful given that level 1 Gunslingers can almost always repair broken anyway (unless gained from a non-misfire) with the Quick Clear deed.

Why bring this up? The rules for the "Guns Everywhere" setting states that Gunslingers LOSE the Gunsmith class feature in exchange for getting the Gun Training feature at level 1 rather than level 5. Normally, this is awesome for dipping into Gunslinger from any class to receive the bonus from Gun Training (as well as the Gunslinger's proficiencies in all firearms) without having to worry about the loss of Gunsmithing due to how cheap it is to purchase advanced firearms and their related ammo.

But now, if I am interpreting this correctly, in a "Guns Everywhere" setting, a Gunslinger (or any of its Archetypes) cannot become a Shield Marshall without spending a feat in Gunsmithing, because Shield Marshall will not accept Gun Training as a substitution for its Gunsmithing requirement.

*Is this intended?*

It seems contrary to flavor that a marshall requires knowledge of smithing guns in a setting where guns are a dime a dozen, a marshall really only needs training with a gun, not the ability to make them. It also does not seem all that disruptive to balance if a substitution were allowed, because it will still be difficult for a non Gunslinger to qualify for Shield Marshall even if Shield Marshall accepts Gun Training as a substitute for Gunsmithing. Also, a Shield Marshall doesn't really seem like it would become significantly more powerful if allowed to take a different feat other than Gunsmithing. Gunsmithing is not very useful to a Marshall in the first place if they have any levels in Gunslinger (or any of its Archetypes) due to level 1 deeds greatly reducing its uniqueness in fixing broken guns. It seems more like this rule was designed to make sure that non-Gunslingers taking Shield Marshall wouldn't attempt to do so without the ability to fix their guns after a misfire. So I could certainly see it remaining a requirement, but the ability to substitute Gun Training would make a lot of sense.

Is this going to remain as is or will Shield Marshall be re-evaluated with the various firearm settings in mind?

Alternatively, am I completely mis-interpreting the rules as written and either a "Guns Everywhere" setting does not require Gunsmithing to take Shield Marshall at all or allowing a Shield Marshall to do so would actually be far more overpowered than I presume?
