Not exactly what you are looking for, but take a look at the Critical Hit deck. My group was a little leery of it (who doesn't like big numbers), but once we started using them they all came around. It adds an enjoyable amount of randomness to combat instead of numbers as usual. And more pertinent to you, on of the damage options is 'spells.'
