Tremorsense (Ex) A creature with tremorsense is sensitive to vibrations in the ground and can automatically pinpoint the location of anything that is in contact with the ground. Aquatic creatures with tremorsense can also sense the location of creatures moving through water. The ability's range is specified in the creature's descriptive text.

Format: tremorsense 60 ft.; Location: Senses.

If you don't have line of sight to the opponent at the start of your turn, you can't charge that opponent.

Can a creature who has only located you with tremorsense charge you?

(As an example, a bulette has located the party, but can't see them because of the obscuring mist. He knows they're there from tremorsense. Can he charge them?)

EDIT: Note that ruling how it works in your homegame is useful, but I would also like to know the RAW on this, since this originally showed up in a PFS game and I would like to know how to handle it if it came up again.

You only pinpoint the location, so you simply know the target square. That is insufficient for charging.

You need blindsense for that.

Surely that would be blindsight, right? I don't see anything in blindsense that would give you line of sight that isn't in tremorsense...

Liberty's Edge

You are right. I did meant blindsight. Sorry for the mistyping.

Beyond that, you'd only know the square that an enemy was in within the range of your tremorsense, so if an enemy was within 80 feet of you but your tremorsense only reached out to 50 feet, then Pathfinder RAW wouldn't allow you to know that anyone was there either, though generally my GM's allow a special houserule that anyone with Tremorsense knows from ground vibrations when someone is moving nearby even without being within range of your tremorsense, since sound vibrations travel farther through ground then air. His compromise was that within 100 feet of you, your tremorsense detected vibrations, but couldn't tell from what direction the vibrations were coming from (though at the time we were going through a recently taken dwarven mien that a Lich had decided to take over [don't ask why], and the dwarves were mining non-stop so there were vibrations going off EVERYWHERE around us).

Apparently this is cut and dry then. Thanks for the responses.
