CR issues, first home made camp

Hey guys, I am making my first game without a module but I have an issue with my group, namely its currently only 2 people. How can I figure out what would be a good CR level for encounters with a group of level 9 wizard rouge and a leadership feat follower fighter, at level seven.

Generally for 2 players, make encounters as you would normally for APL-2.

You basically can't. CR is bad enough for a party of four--it does nothing to help you with a two person party. You're going to have to just eyeball it as to what they can handle.

I've done that for years--I'd say 75% of my D&D games through the years have had only 2 players. You get used to it. Always err on the "too easy side."
