GM credit and play-credit to same character?

I recently completed GM-ing a scenario that I have already played through with one of my characters. Can I apply my GM credit for that scenario to the character who already has play-credit for playing it, or is that illegal?

Nope, doesn't work sorry.

Having a backup character is always a good thing though.

Short answer: no.

I have plenty of characters. :) Some of them I might have to wait til they hit tier for it, but okay, good to know! Thanks.

I came looking for the question that was asked and answered above. I was not aware of (or told by my local PFS) this, and I applied 2 GM credits to a character that had already played the scenarios. The error is now noted when I look through my Pathfinder Society Sessions. How should I resolve this? Remove the GM chronicle sheets from that character's notebook and take away 2 experience points? And then transfer those chronicle sheets to a different character?

That is correct. Return the character to the chronicle before the illegal chronicles were added, and apply the two GM credits to a different legal character.

Might have to fix the reporting (if it's your event) or have the coordinator/local VC/Mr. Brock do it (if it's not). Should have tripped an error message in the reporting system.

Rules for applying player and GM chronicles are found in the Guide to Organized Play, which all PFS players and GMs are expected to read. Mistakes happen, but it's better to read the rules for yourself than rely on others to tell you. :)
