how many character points for pathfinder APs?

For the standard pathfinder APs, rise of the runelords, jade regent, etc.. how many stat points should the PCs have? I've heard both 15 and 20. And they are intended for four PCs, yes? Just double-checking.

They assume 15, but most GM's use 20. Once you get 6 PC's you may have to modify the AP.

Yeah, we tried doing it with 15 at one point, and 15 makes certain classes nearly unplayable. Namely Monk, and any sort of class that needs both a casting stat and physical stats to work. Alright, so we're on the right track, we do four or five PCs generally.
