Need a demonic / daemonic patron for an orc cleric

Advice

Hi All,

I'm building an orc cleric whose spells are granted by a demon or daemon rather than a god. The cleric's focus is spreading plague and corruption. Can anyone with infernal knowledge suggest a suitable patron (reflecting the disease element) for the cleric - I'm not too sure which demons and daemons are active in Golarion.

Also, is there an archetype or something similar to cover a cleric who worships a powerful outsider rather than a god?

Thanks

It's canon that the Horsemen (daemons) and demon lords can grant spells. No special archetype or anything is required. Here's the rule text:

Quote:

Although demon lords are in most cases not true deities, they are close enough to divine status to serve as objects of worship for mortals. Demon lords are what are known as demigods, and are as capable of granting spells, domains, and favored weapons to clerics as are true deities—indeed, to a mortal worshiper, there is very little difference between the status of deity and demigod...

And if you're looking for a list of all the demon lords who are canon in Golarion, you can find it here:

-- it looks like Cyth V'Sug is a possibility, but there are several others who would probably do just as well.

If you're looking for a daemon, the obvious choice is Apollyon, the Horseman of Pestilence. Again, no special rules -- just treat him as an ordinary cleric with the appropriate domains. (Though, thematically, you wouldn't expect the priest of a Horseman to be very popular in most settings. Unless his schtick is "I will bring pestilence upon the enemies of the Horde", or some such.)

Thanks Doug!
