Hello all
My players have some problems with a necromancers guild. The guild had a soup kitchen and a wreckers guild as front operations. To make a long story short, the players killed the wreckers guild leader, and turned the city against the kitchen.
Due to less food for the poor crime has gone up
Due to lack of wreckets guild prices in general has gone up
Now the necromancers guild needs a new front... Any ideas what that could be?
Any plot hooks to get the chars interested again is morethan welcome...

A slaughterhouse/butcher shop would probably be optimal. The PCs will not soon forget breaking into the place by night, only to discover that they are not alone - that, in fact, all those beef carcasses hanging up to drain have been treated with animate dead. A headless (& therefore blind) zombie isn't a very effective combatant, so there should probably be dozens of 'em - a veritable wall of beef.
If you have pt. 1 of Carrion Crown, see the 'Beheaded' and 'Ectoplasmic Creature' entries there for other low-level undead that could have been mass-produced from the day-to-day debris of a slaughterhouse.

Most Necromancers can heal. Open a Healers Guild. This has several advatages.
1. Have super low rates. You might loose some gold but you will gain a ton of favor from the populace. That can offset this by causing the certain rich to become sick and the "Curing" them for a large amount of gold.
2. This should give them access to dead or dieing people. They dont have to save them all. "The homeless man just didn't make it... we did all we could. HEHEHE" This will give them access to bodies and such.
The adventures will have quite the task convincing the populace to turn on the healers taking care of their sick.

Grave diggers unite! Have a legitimate use for undead labor... Like ditch digging, sewer sweeping, and the like. Boone needs to know the laborers are undead and possibly loved ones.
I have an entire nation in my setting based on this premise, ruled by a lich (lawful evil). The living populace has been raised with the expectation that part of their "taxes" are the use of their physical bodies after they've no further use for them (it's a bit more complex than that).
As to the OP - morticians, sewer-workers, and many of the above suggestions are all excellent.
