Re-recruitment: Rise of the Runelords & Curse of the Crimson Throne

Recruitment

Hello!

I am currently running two games and we have lost some players, who I now hope to replace! The two games are...

Rise of the Runelords (using Barebones Fantasy RPG)
The three players have fought of the initial goblin raid on Sandpoint and are now investigating clues that someone inside the town was in league with the creatures. PCs: Serax (haughty elven wizard), Natalie (cheerful gnome artificer) & Thorgrund (gruff dwarven warrior).

Looking for 2 more players. Please see game page: http://paizo.com/campaigns/BarebonesRiseOfTheRunelords/recruiting&page= last

Curse of the Crimson Throne (using Savage Worlds)
Started with 4 players, now down to 3. The players are fighting their way through the old fishery on Westpier 17 to deliver vengeance upon Gaedren Lamm. PCs: Mirian Greyfeather (human vigilantee), Kimiko (scaly samurai) & Elegad (another vigilantee).

Looking for 2 players. Please see game thread: http://paizo.com/campaigns/SavageCurseOfTheCrimsonThrone/recruiting&pag e=last

Is this with 3.5 or Pathfinder?

Neither. The Rise of the Runelords game is being played using a system called Barebones Fantasy RPG. Curse of the Crimson Throne is being played in Savage Worlds.

Description:

Description
With his 3 feet and 5 inches Quiddling towers over most other halflings, yet he is no match for other races. With his boyish looks and thick brown hair he could be mistaken for a human child where it not for his pointy ears and rich mutton chops. His clothes also draws his appearence from that of a human child, or a average halfling for that matter.

Quiddling dresses in a fine long coat which he wears over his leather jack and light brown cloth trousers. A white silk shirt is visible beneath his leather harnesk. The halflings attire is crowned by a dark brown wide brimmed hat. Slung over his shoulder is a cloth sack in which he keeps his writing equipment, pipe, flute and other miscellaneous items. He does not wear any shoes since his leathery soles has removed the need for foot wear.

At his side hangs a rapier in a finely crafted scabbard with the Cane family insignia carved at the top.

Background:

Quiddling Cane is the lastest member of the influential Cane clan, the halfling family who in one single generation made the journey from slavedom in Cheliax to a member of the high society in Absalom. It was a little more than one hundred years today that Quiddlings grandfather, Fildwick Cane, started the Cane's rise to power by escaping his devil worshiping masters and starting a new life in the city at the center of the world. With a combination of hard work, wits and a little bit of luck he became one of the more successful merchants in Absalom. After his death his two sons Billwit and Poddoc took over the trade and the family's wealth has only grown.

Quiddling is the only son of Billwit Cane and (some malign voices would say "trophy") wife Lillwillow. As a Cane few doors were closed for the young halfling and the young halfing seized the opportunity. Even though it was his father's connections that secured Quiddling's place in the university of Absalom it was his own abilities that showed that he belonged there. During his stay at the university he studies a wide array of subject but eventually it was science that captured Quidding's interest as he studied under the guiding hand of a guest professor Petros Lorrimor from the faraway lands of Ustalav. The professor was a charismatic teacher and opened the young halfing noble's mind to the mysteries and wonders of the world. The Ustalav professor sparked the lust for adventure in Quiddling and after the Lorrimors departure back to Ustalav the halfling secured a spot as an assistant on numerous expeditions by the Pathfinder society with the help of his father.

During his travels Quiddling has kept detailed journals which he hopes to someday compile into a book, or why not a few? He has during the years kept in contact with his mentor, sending transcripts of his notes and receiving comments and suggestions from the professor. As Quiddling was preparing for his initiation test for the society news reached him of his old teachers demise. He immediately packed his bags and began his journey to attend the late Petros Lorrimor's funeral.

The background was written for the Carrion Crown game so it will have to be modified. Quiddling's concept is a young and privilaged traveller that wants to see the world.

I realise that I have not build the character optimally (since he won't be able to use his primary skill until he gains 3 development points), but since he's been studying at a university I figured that he should have a point in Scholar from the beginning. Development points would be spent on bard levels, thief levels, logic and perhaps something to get his combat awareness up.

Posteding in the new recruitment thread as well.

Welcome Quiddling! I have just awarded the other's an advance, so feel free to give yourself a level in Bard too. Feel free to jump into the RotRL gameplay thread at your convenience. :D

Barebones Rise of the Runelords is now full (4 players is enough to be getting on with), but we still need a fourth hero to save Korvosa in Curse of the Crimson Throne (using Savage Worlds).
