Swordmages in Pathfinder?

I LOVED the swordmage in 4e DnD, but I also love Pathfinder. Lets combine the two. How does this seem to everybody for the Magus. This is continuing an idea I started a long time ago, lets finish this off!

Magus Arcana:

Dimensional Shift (su):the magus can spend 1 point from his arcane pool as part of a move or full action. She may teleport some or all of her normal move. She may use this as part of a charge, but she must move normally at least five feet before the teleport.

Thoughts?

I really like the idea of a teleporting magus, but I think it fits better as a defining combat style. That arcana is interesting, but it doesn't quite match how the teleportation mechanics usually work - they're not usually part of another action that I can remember, though it's an interesting idea.

At one point I was working on a magus archetype for each school of magic. The conjuration specialist was going to focus on teleportation. Here's a draft of that concept that I wrote up for Round 2 of RPG Superstar (like a lot of people, I wrote up an archetype draft in case I got to round 2).

Waystrider (Magus)

A waystrider magus believes that battles are won through mobility, and focuses his studies on teleportation magic. He appears suddenly next to a vulnerable opponent with a vicious strike and leaps away before his foes can organize a counterattack.

The largest concentration of waystriders is in the elven nation of Hymbria, where they have an academy devoted to studying the elfgates and teleportation magic. When the Hymbrian army marches to retake Sevenarches, those waystriders will be in the vanguard of the force to reclaim the legacy and secrets of their ancestors.

Far Step (Sp): At 4th level, the waystrider learns to teleport short distances. As a standard action, he may spend 1 point from his arcane pool to teleport to a square he can see within close range (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels), as if using dimension door. He cannot take other creatures with him (except for familiars), and he cannot far step while wearing heavy armor or carrying a heavy load. He cannot take other actions until his next turn after using this ability. Far step is a 2nd level spell-like ability. This replaces spell recall.

Bonus Feat (Ex): At 5th level, and every six levels thereafter, the waystrider may select a bonus feat. These bonus feats must be selected from the following list: any combat feat, any metamagic feat, Dimensional Agility and any feat with Dimensional Agility as a prerequisite. The far step power counts as dimension door for the purposes of feats and abilities. This modifies the magus's bonus feat ability.

Following Step (Su): At 11th level, the waystrider has learned to merge his magic with other teleportation effects nearby, allowing him to follow that effect to its destination. As an immediate action when he successfully uses Spellcraft to identify a teleportation spell or effect originating within 30', the waystrider may spend 2 points from his arcane pool to accompany it. The effect's caster may make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the waystrider's level + his Intelligence modifier) to resist. If the save fails, the waystrider is teleported to the same destination, appearing in an open square adjacent to the target location. This replaces improved spell recall.

Escaping Step (Su): At 13th level, the waystrider may teleport away from a potentially lethal attack as an immediate action. When he would be reduced to 0 or fewer hit points by a melee attack, he may spend 3 arcane pool points to teleport to an adjacent square. If this takes him out of the reach of the attack, he takes no damage, but is staggered for one round. This ability replaces heavy armor.

Those are good. I figured I'd just add more parts to the class I loved from 4e. One of the coolest powers was to block damage. How does this sound as another benefit?

Magus Arcana:

Spell Block (su):the magus can spend 1 or more points from his arcane pool as part of a reaction due to damage on you or an ally in 30 feet and lose the ability to cast a spell whose level equals the number of points spent. For each point spent in this way roll a d6 and block that much damage. You must choose the number of spell points spent when the damage is announced but before the amount of damage is revealed.

Magus Arcana:

Bound Blade (Su): The magus can spend 2 points from his arcane pool as a full round action. When he does so, he chooses one weapon with which he is proficient. This blade is bound to the magus for 24 hours. As a swift action, he can recall the bound blade to his hand. This functions as greater teleport spell only targeting the weapon and with the destination of the wielders hand. Also, while wielding the bound blade, the magus gains a +1 dodge bonus if wielding the blade one-handed or +2 dodge bonus if wielding the blade two-handed.

Silver Crusade

Dotting this. I LOVED the swordmage, it was finally a class that did the magical swordsman the way I thought it should be done!! Magus kinda works, and eldritch knight wasn't what fit my view.

I'll try to contribute when I have time, just wanted to give some encouragement to this idea!!

Wait Wait I have a great Idea:

Lets take the duelist class and Merge it So it looks like this

SwordMage

1...........Arcane Pool, Spell Combat, Cantrips
2...........Spell Strike, Grace
3...........Magus Arcana,Parry
4...........Spell Recall, Far Step
5...........Improved Reaction, Combat Expertise
6...........Magus Arcana Riposte
7...........Knowledge Pool, Canny Defense
8...........Greater Spell Combat
9...........Magus Arcana, Acrobatic Charge
10.......... Fighter Training
11

Just an Idea, Merging the Duelist and the Magus as one progressive Class
Losing the Armor Proficencies and gaining the Parry and Riposte when not using Spell Combat....

Just quick light bulb that hit I am sure it needs tweaking

I would restrict this ability to 9th level or preferably higher, as 9th is when the Bladebound Magus can do the same with their Black Blade. I don't mind other Magi being able to borrow the trick, but they shouldn't get it before the archetype devoted to specializing with a single individual weapon their entire adventuring life.

Also Magus pretty much is built around making two-handed wielding impractical or impossible - almost all their abilities require a free hand along with your weapon - so the extra bonus for using a two-handed weapon is likely going to be unusable.
