So the Midgard Campaign Setting by Kobold Press had been catching my eye of late and yesterday I bought it. I am mightily impressed thus far.
For those runnings games set in that world, please tell me about your campaigns!
What kind of PCs do your players run, what kind of stories have you told, & what pleasantly surprised you and what rubbed you the wrong way?
Thanks!
Note 1: I've read a ton of reviews. I'm looking for actual-play & GM world/campaign-craft stories in this thread.
Note 2<mini-rant>: I originally posted this topic on ENWorld & RPG.net, figuring there'd be AGE, 4e, and 3.5 players contibuting along with PF fans. Not a single reply thus far. Doesn't anyone talk about their games anymore? Does it have to be all about the crunch? <end rant>

I've been running dragon's delve from dungeonaday in midgard. The dungeon and brindenford are located Northeast of Zobeck, above Morgau and Doresh. Zobeck was the first big city the pcs visited, and they loved it. I ran halls of the mountain kings and am currently having them attend a wedding in the ironcrags. It's a great setting and one I enjoy running a great deal. That being said, I do some writing for open design, but I started writing for them because I loved their world so much.

I do some writing for them too, and I guess I have to say that I've incorporated what I love into my contributions.
I really like Zobeck, and the gritty aspects of it, the harder edge I feel Midgard has.
I certainly prefer the take on the fae there...
Are you looking for an adventure progression, or ?
-Ben.

A few months ago our Wednesday game group changed GM's and he decided to run a Midgard Campaign set in the Northlands. Our first module was Raging Swan's Retribution. We did okay but the BBEG got away and I feel we will see him again. Now he is taking us through Frog God Games Northlands Saga. I will say that Kobold Press' Midgard Campaign Setting and the Players' Guide to the Northlands is getting a lot of use. and it makes for a very interesting change of pace.
I am playing a Reaver Dwarf Rogue using a Hammerstaff. We have a Fighter Cleric taking the Rune Mastery feat.
We are having a very fun time. Playing has slacked off some because of the summer, but we still make time.
@ShadowcatX,
At the very least I would suggest getting the Midgard Campaign Setting and reading through that to get an idea of where you want to set your game in. Then pick up the Players' Guides to that area.
