Gunslinging Sorcerer

Advice

Does anyone have any advice on which bloodline would go well with a sorcerer who uses Firearms?

Race is not really an issue though I would like to play Human as a first choice.

I am looking to create a sorcerer who will use spells to mainly support and buff himself rather than the straight forward damage enemies with magic version.

Empyreal (Celestial Wildblooded). You use Wis for all Sorc casting which meshes well with Gunslinger grit being based on Wis as well.

Scarab Sages

If you are going to play a magic user that uses guns, I'd go with a spellslinger wizard instead of Sorcerer.

My opinion, I would go with the Mysterious Stranger archetype. It changes the Gunslinger class to use CHA instead of WIS for its grit, and meshes perfectly with the Sorcerer's ability dependency.

(Sorry, I know that's not what was asked, but I think it's good advice nonetheless.)

Thank you everyone for the advice.

I am in the process of building a caster gunslinger and I stumbled on something awesome. You should take either arcane bloodline or tattooed sorcerer. This will net you a familiar. Before battle cast abundant ammunition and get your familiar to hold the touch charge indefinitely. As soon as combat starts your familiar touches your ammo sack; you never pay for ammo again. Every shot is paper cartridge loaded adamantine bullets or whatever suits your fancy.

I will give another piece of advice you didn't ask for: strongly consider becoming an eldritch knight! While gunslingers generally don't have a very hard time hitting things, being a low bab class will probably come back to haunt you. So if you really want to focus on dealing damage through your gun, and buffing yourself, you need a better attack bonus. Also, you definitely need at least one level of gunslinger to get going at the start (or you'll be too far behind on feats to ever deal decent gun damage), and once you have that you qualify for eldritch knight automatically.

Something like 1 gunslinger / 6 sorcerer / 10 eldritch knight / 3 sorcerer should work pretty well. I would advice against mysterious stranger: you really need to be able to deal with misfires, so even with 10 wisdom and 16 cha (and I wouldn't recommend that much cha if you're just looking to buff yourself) you're better off with a level of normal gunslinger, pistolero or musket master than with mysterious stranger. I would definitely go human, as gun use is very feat intensive at low levels.

As for bloodlines: arcane is always good. Empyreal could work well for the wisdom synergy with gunslinger. The familiar trick Sitri gave sounds like it should work (as long as you don't cast another spell before the touch is delivered), so arcane seems good for that reason as well.
