Alchemist and Scribe Scroll

Rules Questions

If an alchemist takes scribe scroll, can the scrolls he makes be used by non-alchemists?

Used to be he couldn't take scribe scroll since he didn't have a caster level. Probably still that way, technically, since while his extracts are very much like spells, they aren't spell-like-abilities and thus don't fall under the new ruling.

Probably wouldn't work even if you worked around it with an SLA from a race or trait, since formulae aren't spells and the Scribe Scroll feats says it only lets you transcribe spells.

Alchemist: Is an alchemist a spellcaster for the purpose of crafting magic items other than potions?

Nope.

Makes panda sad. When I think of alchemist, I think of a guy who pretty much specializes in making magic items.

He does... as long as those magic items are potions.
