Is my math correct for my Undead PC? Or do I need to adjust it somehow?

Rules Questions

So Here is my question, and I ask because I want to be sure that I am doing it as properly as can be. After asking the DM if I can play said race of course. Here is the thing I rarely played "Monstrous Races" from the Savage Species or other books where it was an option so my experience in converting things like that is rather limited.

So I am playing a Skeletal Champion and a bloody skeleton variant. After having re-read both entries it would seem (from my POV) I was mistaken in being BOTH at the same time due to the whole apply this template to a corporeal being and stuff like that,

IIRC I read that converting monsters as a playable race you do that with all 6 stats using 10 or 11 from 3.5 D&D. So for example I took the Skeleton template and it has a STR of 15 I took the STR of 11 and minus 15 and got 4 from that and I also took the Skeletal Champion STR of 17 minus 11 and got 6 I then added the two modifiers together and got a combined STR bonus of 10 which I then added to my characters base Human starting STR. I used that method for all 6 stats.

Now I stacked all their abilities like Natural Armor, Channel Resistance and things that matched on each entry but I am just wanting to make sure, did I do this correctly or am I going to have to pick one or the other.

I also plan on double checking all this stuff with my DM to ensure that 1)it's not going to be mechanically incorrect and more importantly the backstory to the character is able to be preserved. In essence my character wanted to stave off death by becoming an undead so he would be able to continue on experiencing the world.

If you have questions please feel free to ask.

The rules for the templates tell you how to modify your base stats. Your math is correct for working out racial ability score bonuses for monstrous races, but skeletons and skeletal champions are not monstrous races. They're templates added to monstrous races. If you're looking at the example stat-blocks for skeletal champion and skeleton, you're seeing those templates applied on top of other races and sometimes classes, getting their ability scores from godknowswhere.

That said, the skeletal champion adds +2 Str, +2 Dex to the base creature and causes it to lose its Con score, and the bloody skeleton adds +2 Dex and changes the base creature's Wis to 10 and Cha to 14 regardless of what they were before, causing it to lose both its Int and Con. Technically, bloody skeleton is a separate template that modifies the skeleton template and wouldn't be compatible with skeletal champion since neither can be applied to an undead creature and both change the base creature's type to undead.

Also, technically natural armour bonuses don't stack, but I always feel they should. These templates replace any existing natural armour you'd have. Same goes for channel resistance, though its nearly impossible to have multiple sources for that anyway.
