Wayfinders 5/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Ran two tables. Had the following features:
-fireballed all stirges (and other competitors)
-fell during first round of the stirge swamp and spent the remaining rounds trying to knock down competitors out of spite
-negative channeled the pie/alch bombed the pie
-stuck the new chieftan to "Chieftan Rock" with sovereign glue - the chieftan then wiggled out of his pants, causing the entire tribe to follow suit. This led to some rather 'liberating' adventuring.
-stuck Poog to Pa Munchmeat with sovereign glue - I'm still not sure where they were going with this, but it was damned funny. Somehow Poog lived (although he made it to -8 at one point)

This is a great sequel adventure with some really fun equipment and encounters to let the goblins shine. I made a Crunchy Crown and made the winner wear it - that was a very successful tactic. My voice is still hoarse from singing goblin songs...

our gm didn't read the part about no equipment on the second dare...so I delayed to the end and bombed all the rest of the goblins off of their planks with mogmurch...

the farm encounter consisted of the 2 fireballs from the necklace into the farm hut to bring out all three...then we picked off the weasel and daughter...then bombed pa outta the sky when he turned into a bat...then I had the three goblin heads sovereined glued to my skull helmet(eyes in the back of the head) to my metal codpiece and had one on a stick.

I was made chief, so I had to be sure I was filled in goblin goodness.

The table I ran had six goblins, and when they reached Pa Munchmeat's farm, they decided to send in Chuffy to pull a variant of the "flaming bag of poo" tactic, only said bag also contained the necklace of fireballs. The poor owlbear rose up in defiance only to have our two Poogs fireball Chuffy simultaneously. Chuffy evaded every blast, but the owlbear (and her eggs) took the whole 21d6 fire. The blast also collapsed most of the house and drew all of the encounters at once, though the goblins were able to handle it with a bit of trouble.

I gotta say I had a lot of fun playing this scenario last night.

Some of our highlights:
Pig Bomb Enema:
Chuffy got bomb from alchemist, and snuck in not realizing it was inert. Made 40 something stealth check and a really good attack and wanted to stick it where the sun don't shine. GM rolled with it, but all it did was get the pig's attention and started combat. On his turn, alchemist walked up and activated the bomb...

Ol' One Eye:
Rita rolled huge perception to see Pa watching them through crack in wall. She pulled out flaming arrow and attacked. Rolled low but used reroll and rolled a 20 then confirmed with another 20. She skewered his eye then he pulled the arrow out and the eye came with. (He was later crit'd by the bead of force and rolled a 1 for his reflex...)

I played Poog (Chief Poog now). In the first dare I had a miracle miss so I got in the lead and kept it the entire time. I also fireballed the stirges (but fell first round because Chuffy pushed. I felt I needed to be on the boards for the fireball to count, plus I was blocking the rest of the stirges that way) and also channeled in the pie killing 3 eagles.

Our GM did an amazing job describing things and dealing with the things we threw at him on the fly. If anyone gets a chance to sit at Toby's table from Michigan, do it, you won't be sorry. :D

Liberty's Edge 2/5 *

We had a table of 5. My observations

A) We had two Chuffys. Or rather we were brothers.. I had Snuffy Longtongue.

B) Channel Negative energy was used in the obstacle course. Reta fell off in the first round. Mogmurch was bombing Stirges

C)Chuffy got the +1 Flaming Dogslicer and on a crit inflicted something like 21 damage (plus the sneak)

D) Squealy Nord was rescued by Poog who DID NOT fail a single Ride check. Squealy was happy, Poog was sad he wasnt failing. Poog was then glue to the back of Squealy so he didnt fall off.

E) Poog channeled several times in the final battle to try and take down Pa. Squealy Nord seemed to be the only one taking full damage and collapsed several times.

F) Reta could just not hit anything

G) Psycho Weasel was encased in the Bead of Force

H) Snuffy tried to hide under the house and nearly hid in the Owlbear nest

I) Necklace of Fireballs are fun until you run out

J) Spiritual weapon saved Squealy Nords bacon!

K)Chuffy the chieftain got overconfident and charged while invisible at Pa and missed. Then got cut down by Pa in the now very burning house

The Exchange 4/5

I ran We Be Goblins Too for Battlegrounds in Norwalk CT. I had 6 people at my table. The 4 kids really knew their stuff and we all had a great time. They equipped the goblins with a bead of force and a necklace of fireballs. Really promoted how crazy goblins can be. The end was great where Chuffy sneaked in to check everything out and killed the Dog at the chicken coup, then snuck back to report progress and so they blew up the shed with the vines and the gourds and the barn where the pigs were. that caused quite a stir at the home.. so for a grand finale I had EVERYONE run out to see what was the matter and they just bombed everyone completely! I really enjoyed everyone that played. Good job Paizo for the cool module!
