I don't know if its a glitch or a change, but I think this is an improvement if the latter. There have been a number of times I've bought the last one in stock and seeing a backorder or "out of print" title in my sidecart always made me paranoid my subscriptions were going to be held up.

We fixed that display so it only shows backorder/preorder/etc if the product was a backorder or preorder at the time you put it into your sidecart. We've made the same change on order history pages.
This should help alleviate the problem where someone buys the last something in stock—the product should be a backorder for everyone else except the person who bought the last one.
