Help with free attacks

Advice

Greetings,

I'm building an "Iron Man" type of character and am in dire need of free attacks, even if they are a 1d6.

Do you know any options for making such attacks?

The character is a 5th level Aasimar (Scion of Humanity) Bard (Archeologist), and he is making wondrous items to fit the theme.

Currently he has a gauntlet that shoots magic missiles, but I'd like to make melee/ranged attacks AND use the gauntlet.

Any help is welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Combat Reflexes
Haste
and moves that will give you free AoO

You are probably going to want to focus condition modifiers

Blindness Prone... Stuff like that

You'll never get free action attacks, as a free action is something that you can do many times a round without there being any action spent and they are normally things like talking.

You can aim for an attack that is a swift action and get one of those a round. Quickened spells can be made to be a swift action to cast, but of course it counts as +4 caster level and are thus quite hard to cast or very expensive to get in an item.

I suspect there may be other ways to get a swift action in here or there, but I doubt there are many.

Sounds like he should probably be a magus and not a bard spell combat would allow you to attack and cast a magic missile at the same time

Another good option is the force blaster archetype for the Kobold Press Battle Scion (3rd party product). Thats a heavy armor full bab character that has a 'force blast' ability, that he can at 2nd level do as a move action (and still attack) and at 11th level do as a swift action.

Thanks for the replies!

I was thinking about a "shoulder cannon", that could fire every turn, without requiring a standard action. It could be a move action or free action.

Haste gives me another melee attack. I need a melee attack and a standar action to activate a magical item.
