I am interested in what the cost of an adamantine tool would be (I play in pfs).
+3000 gp seems a bit much.
arrows are 60 gp, and in UE there is a wire saw of adamantine that is only 150 gp.
I would think a tool (which could be used as an improvised weapon) would be somewhere between the 150 gp and 3000 gp prices.
maybe 500? maybe 1500?
it's somewhat surprising there isn't a ruling for this in the books already.
would actually like to see an official ruling on this (for pfs), because i'd like to get a traveler's any-tool made of adamantine but not if it's going to break my bank.

How much is an Adamantine Crowbar
+3000 gp is the price for an adamantine dagger or spiked gauntlet. It seems hard to justify an any-tool costing less.
A GM might give a cheaper price for something that is much smaller than a dagger (I imagine an adamantine arrow using just a sliver of the metal along the arrowhead's edge, like a safety razor).

Under trade goods 1 lbs of adamantine cost 300 gp, so in a home game a GM can set a price for a adamantine tool based on that (with a surcharge for the difficulty of working the material).
The problem in PFS is that sooner or later someone will have the bright idea to use his cheap adamantine chisel as an improvised adamantine dagger against something with DR/adamantine, and that 300-600 gp tool will become a 3.000 gp weapon. So, in PFS, the tools will be priced as weapons to avoid shenanigans.
