Summoning-type character to round out Wrath of the Righteous party

Advice

Good day, all.

We're working on characters for the Wrath of the Righteous AP and I need a little advice. A tiny bit of background first:

1) None of us have any working knowledge of the Mythic ruleset.

2) The rest of the party will consist (more or less) of a Tiefling Paladin, an Aasimar Dervish of Dawn and a non-combatant Dwarven Evangelist (Madness Domain).

My thought is to run a summoning-based character as its a style of play I'm both very familiar with and very much enjoy... but I'm thinking of making a shift from my usual Half-Elven Summoner or Master Summoner. I had initially planned to play a Master Summoner and instead of restricting myself to elementals as I usually do, instead focusing on summoning celestial creatures, archons, etc. However it occurred to me that there might be another theme-appropriate way to fulfill the same role.

I've never made a Druid before, but I was thinking that having a Druidic character would be very appropriate to a party trying to close the World Wound (if indeed that is our final goal) and I know that they have summonses at their disposal - I also know that they can do a wide variety of other things as well, so I'm not sure how to properly focus a Druid build nor even if he would be particularly effective played that way.

I'm open to pretty much any suggestions for a Summoning-type PC with either a First World or Divine theme - anyone got any ideas?

Hmm... The Cleric might be better at this. At least at level 5+.
Get the Sacred summons feat(Ultimate Magic) and get the Player Companion book Champions of Purity. In the back of that you can greatly expand and enhance your good summons. Summoning as a standard action is quite important as I'm sure you know from your experience as a Summoner.

Although you already have one cleric as long as you take different niches it should be fine.

A Druid can indeed also focus on Summons but he lacks the excellent buff/debuff spell-list of the Cleric that compliments the summons so well.

My two-cents ;)

A Cleric? that's interesting... Can you recommend any Domains that might be more ideally suited to Summons?

You are correct that summoning as a standard action is a must - but from reading Sacred Summons, it looks like there would be very few options for a creatures type to 'exactly' match my aura, particularly if it is one of the Good alignments. Does Champions of Purity provide me with more legal summoning options? I'd like to be able to summon at least one thingn per level as a standard action...
