Character and Archtypes in Pathfinder society

Silver Crusade 3/5

How many arch types can a character in pathfinder society be allowed to pick for his character as in maximum number he can pick. I was told two as long as they don't pick out the same things on a character in any way but can you pick more?

Silver Crusade 3/5

Like for instance can a character rogue be a sniper ninja rogue at the same time and later pick up tattoo sorcerer or just plain sorcerer? Can someone explain the limits to me?

Grand Lodge

There is no limit.

If they stack, then you're fine.

Many do not stack.

If two archetypes change, or replace the same class feature, then they do not stack.

Note: Some Archetypes are banned in PFS.

Silver Crusade 3/5

Where can I see a list of the ones that are banned in pfs?

Grand Lodge

See here.

So what are alternate classes are they like archtypes or they completely different? Can a rogue be a sniper ninja?

Grand Lodge

Ninja, is Rogue.

To add an archetype, the abilities altered, or replaced, must actually be there to be altered, or replaced.

To make things easier to understand, Ninja is basically an archetype.

Silver Crusade 3/5

I see and since ninja doesnt have trap finding then ninja can't take sniper correct?

Grand Lodge

Indeed.

I believe Scout is one of the stackable archetypes with Ninja.

Silver Crusade 3/5

Yeah from what I see the ninja is better then the sniper in many ways since the ninja can get the range sneak attack at level 2 and up. Sniper really only has the half range mod penalties to offer while the ninja was other things to out weight that small loss.

With ninja's do they use craft(alchemy) to make poisons or is that not allowed in pfs? I thought they got rid of crafting for making magical stuff but can't you use crafting (alchemy)to make normal poisons like on page 559 in the core rule book? Also if you put poison on a weapon do you happen to know how long it lasts on the weapon like for instance if I poison an arrow does it stay poison till I use that arrow or does poison have to be apply just before using the weapon?

Silver Crusade 3/5

Is this legal for rogues to use in pfs? http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/rogue-talents

I'm wondering because under that link a rogue at level 2 can pick a rogue talent and they can pick ninja trick which can be Deadly Range and if the rogue is a sniper they would have 20ft sneak attack ranged at level 3.

Liberty's Edge

Poudpuppy, do you know there is a PFS section for these types of questions?
