Alright.
This campaign is made to press your comfort zone. To wind up with a possibly non-optimized stat pc, even when others may be. To keep up despite odds. To intragate a fact of reality- that overall, some people we born better then others.
The campaign is designed to be an "unlikely hero" story.

Heh- it doesn't require you to keep training in that.
Honestly, if the class is completely impossible
(Ie) wizard with int 9 or less, i will allow one re-roll, because I'm not a dick.
Or you could roll your stats after the class, and have it so you were trained to be ___ but you sucked at it, and you are looking to be something else. 1 level of that class, and then begin multiclassing.
We are also talking people here. There is nothing more stubborn on the face of the planet.

How about the gesault but slow advancement start at lvl one, mainly because I really wan to see what it looks like when someone is both arcane trickster and archer,
But that's not the big deal
I really like the versatility offered by gesault,
I have never been allowed to play one in a campign with actual advancement.

Well you know what my preferences are,
I am sorry on some level that they are not the same as yours, but I almost always fill the caster roll, wich is something I enjoy. I like the mysticism, the sheer difference from our day to day life, in such a way that it is a wold without Internet that I might prefer to one with. Heck in a divine campign the thing I would enjoy the most would be the politics of people of that power scale. But they require a prime requisite that is up to par
Fighters, monks, rouges, rangers, paladins, they can make do with any stat combo under the sun.
Casters can't.

I am well aware, this is a low magic campaign- casting shouldn't be common. If you want to try and be a caster, you'll have to live with these things. Honestly, I was hoping you of all pepole would be anything but a caster.
This is, as i said, meant to push you from your comfort zone. To play something diffrent.

That is what I based the game i have in mind on...
Fighting something the gods can barely keep at bay...
Something...
Powerful. Beyond gods.
"Holding the moon up"
Is a reference to majora's mask- it took the power of 4 near-gods to slow the decent of doomsday to the point that you could stop it... After the god of time let you try endless times.
A reference to hope in a hopeless situation.
The campaign in mind...

I think this will go a lot smoother if we do stat roles as the commoners. Then we grow into a class that fits our skill sets that way and it's also more realistic. You know when you're strong or smart IRL. The characters themselves might not agree with the stats and try for non-oped classes IC. This adds to the realism of it as well.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 5) = 13 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 4, 6) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6, 3) = 12 11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 4) = 20 17
4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 6) = 18 16
I would make a good wizard, cleric or oracle so long I put a +2 in that stat, I could be a good magus, bender monk or bard without that
I'd also make a good paladin or ranger
For NPC this would be good stats for anybody.

Str3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1) = 8
Dex3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3) = 12
Con3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) = 8
Int3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5) = 15
Wis3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3) = 12
Cha 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4) = 6
Replacement:3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 6) = 13 hmm either Cha or str
Ok I really do find this to be an interesting concept, the plot looks good but I like the gestalt version better.
What do you think Jeff
| Tybalt Baneko |
Sorry I thought it was four d six drop high, like we always do.
Str3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5) = 15
Con3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6) = 13
Dex3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 5) = 10
Wis3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 2) = 7
Int3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4) = 6
Cha3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 1) = 9
This would get to be a decent fighter or barbarian dependant on personality.
This sounds like a cool game and it would be nice to play with new people outside of our usual group.

The campaign itself looks awesome, but I prefer any in person game town online game and you are already running one of those,
If you want to try this I am all for it, so long as it doesn't get in the way of the in person one, we don't have to keep going if you don't want to
Don't feel forced into this. You as the DM are the deciding vote on pretty much everything,

It's OK. You're a visionary. This is a new idea and can be very awesome if done right. If it doesn't work out then there's nothing lost and if it does we get a cool new campaign. And you already have two players. :)
More people show up? Great. New perspective. No one else does? Awesome too. Easier that way.
I believe that you can handle it. :)
