...but it applies to a PFS character so this makes the most sense. I have a PFS character on my account whose name is wrong. I did a level 1 rebuild and changed a lot about that character, including the name. However, I had used the message board alias more than 10 times so it got saved. Now I have my GMs tell me that when they go to report the session, the name is different.
Is there any way to fix this?

You're not allowed to change your name as part of the rebuild. It's one of the things that has to stay fixed.

I may have been the one that asked after last month's game. I only did to make sure I was punching in/reading the PFS number right and putting credit on the right character. Now I know, so it won't be a problem if I report games in the future. Usually our VC handles that, though, so as long as he knows, you'll be good for any of the events he handles. I was just filling in for him last month.
It is, by the way, possible for whoever reports the game to manually enter the character name each time. It is a bit of a pain vs the auto populate, but it's possible.

Somebody else mentioned the same problem to me, FT, so I was hoping to solve the problem rather than have to innoculate every single person who GMs for that character.
I have since learned my lesson and created this messageboard alias and no longer post as any of my characters.
... until after you play them at 2nd level, at which point their names are presumably unlikely to change, yes?

Nope, I just don't post as them at all.
