Combat maneuvers with cleave?

under cleave and great cleave it says make attacks, and under sunder and trip it says that I can use them in place of an attack. does this mean that i can sunder the first guy trip the second and hit the third?

Yep. You'd still provoke AoOs but you could do that as part of a cleave.
