"Day before" spells

Advice

So I am a very long time player of D&D, but have only very rarely played characters past level 10. So now that I have a 13th level character, I'm finding it is almost like a whole new game.

What I just realized is that thanks to metamagic rods of extend, there are a host of buffs I can cast the night before the group plans to teleport into somewhere to beat up punks, leaving a whole lot more spell slots available for added flexibility.

Some of the spells are no brainers, like Greater Magic Weapon and Magic Vestments, but I'm finding there is a slew of other I can cast *just in case* they turn out to be useful. Some examples are Water Breathing or even better Life Bubble.

Any of you folks have other examples of spells you cast way ahead of time so that they will still be in effect, but not taking up slots of your spells for the day? I'm a cleric, but we have a witch and a bard in the party.

Sovereign Court

It's an interesting idea. Maybe I should start saving up for such a rod. Hmm.

Anyway, on the PFD20SRD website you can do "advanced search" for spells, and look for the ones with duration measured in hours or days. There's quite a few candidates for Day Before. Like for example Heroes Feast...
