I have read few threads about Scent and the rules are still somewhat vague about it, but that's not what I wish to ask.
Instead a player at PFS convention claimed that since he has a Scent which grants him ability to automatically pinpoint target within 5 ft. at the very least that he isn't denied DEX by an invisible assassin.
I didn't wish to go into full discussion but it seemed like a moot point honestly. I didn't remember anywhere written that Scent prevents Denied Dex by an invisible attacker. Sure, you can find him out more easily then without it, but it wouldn't prevent Sneak Attack unless you can perfectly or at least normally see his movement.
Again, I don't wish to discuss about Scent but I simply wish to know if it prevents Denied Dex by an invisible attacker.
Thanks upfront for answers and comments.

It does not.
Scent allows for automatic pinpointing much like a weaker blindsense but otherwise does not give any other bonuses against an invisible attacker. S
A scent user knows where the invisible creature is. But the invisible creature can still gets his sneak attack off.
Blindsight, however, is another story.
Edit: ninja'd.

A creature with the scent ability can detect an invisible creature as it would a visible one.
...
If a character tries to attack an invisible creature whose location he has pinpointed, he attacks normally, but the invisible creature still benefits from full concealment (and thus a 50% miss chance).
The creature detects another creature's presence but not its specific location. Noting the direction of the scent is a move action. If the creature moves within 5 feet (1 square) of the scent's source, the creature can pinpoint the area that the source occupies, even if it cannot be seen.
"A successful attack into a square occupied by an enemy with total concealment has a 50% miss chance (instead of the normal 20% miss chance for an opponent with concealment).
Lastly, Combat rules say if the attacker is invisible, the target loses dex bonus to AC.
Scent doesn't make invisible attackers visible for free. Once you find it, the creature can move without you knowing. Pinpointing an invisible creature doesn't make you any better at defending against it and that's why you still lose your Dex bonus.
