Spell reference here
Suppose the party front liner is protected by a Shield Other spell from the support cleric. That cleric is, in turn, protected by a second Shield Other spell from the party Paladin. Then, the party Inquisitor decides to cast Shield Other on the Cleric too, just for giggles.
Firstly, that's a lot of gold rings. Cleric's got bling.
Secondly, how would damage be divided?
Let's suppose the front liner (say barbarian) likes pain and gets whacked for (just making something up here) 100 damage (for math's sake).
50 points transferred to Cleric
Then both the other spells go off
So does the cleric transfer 25 to the paladin then 13 to the Inquisitor? Or do they both take half (25), essentially generating an extra chunk of damage?

"The amount of damage not taken by the warded creature is taken by you."
Barbarian takes 50, transfers 50 to the Cleric.
The Cleric takes half damage (25), and the Paladin and Inquisitor each take the amount of damage not taken by the Cleric.
I hope for the Paladin and Inquisitor's sakes that the party doesn't get hit by a fireball or something...
