While 1/20 is 5% it's not true that weapon focus adds 5% to your hit chances. If a warrior can hit on a 17-20 say, then weapon focus allows him to hit on a 16-20, that's a 25% increase in frequency of hitting.
The number of hits increases by 25% BUT the chance of hitting only goes up 5% - chance of hitting is a function of all attacks (hits and misses), not just the hits. WIth a 17+ to hit, then out of 100 attacks 80 will miss and 20 will hit, the +1 from WF would change that to 75 misses and 25 hits - 25% more hits, but only hitting on 5% more attacks.

Still increases your average effectiveness by 25% though which is the important thing here (more than 25% if the target can be critted).
15-20 crit range (keen falchion ?) you will deal an average of 24% of average damage rolled, increasing to 31.25% with WF, 39% with GWF. In this case you have an average relative increase in DPA of a tiny bit over 30% with WF and 60.25% with GWF.
If you run into high CR opponents it will pay off more than against mooks but it is simply a solid feat.
