Rules Questions

I remember people saying that back in 3 edition there were things you could do with extreme skill checks. Such cast suggestion with a high enough buff check or squeeze though a wall of force with a high enough escape artist check.

My question is where there ever any thing you can do with extreme knowledge checks? I ask because I might have gotten a little over zealous in upping my chacters knowledge skills. I could likely make a DC 70 knowledge check easy and I'm wondering if I've gimped myself by taking something too far.

Is there any use for such high knowledges checks?

What the heck have you done to pump knowledge that high? I mean, if you've assigned hundreds of thousands of gold, on top of skill and feat choices, you might've gone a bit overboard. I'm not aware of anything "extreme" that can be done with it. That'd be kinda DM territory mostly. I'm curious though as to what you've done to get it so high. Might be neat for a master sage type NPC.

There were no special rules for epic-level knowledge checks, I'm afraid. You would know pretty much everything there is to know about anything and anyone you encounter, though :)

It's a gestalt game I'm a lore Oracle 8/Wizard(for-sight) 5/ arcane savant 3

I have +8 int bonus
+2 Breath of experience
+1 Master Scholar
+8 ranks
+3 class skill
+20 Focused Trance revelation
+10 and reroll from "think on it" revelation
+6 form the spell Ancestral Communion
=58

Maybe DC 70 is an exaggeration but assuming I roll a 10 that's 68. I could also get some masterwork books to give another +2.
