Hey, welcome to Utah!!
If you're ever looking for MORE Pathfinder Fix, check out our weekly Pathfinder Society Organized play group in Murray. It's not too far away from S. Jordan. And with Skulls & Shackles becoming a sanactioned Adventure Path, you can earn levels/credit for your PFS characters by playing S&S.
I'm at the end of the 2nd book in S&S myself with my Friday night group. I hope you all have as much fun with it as we have had. Let me know if you have any questions! :)

What day are you wanting to play on? Me and a friend are looking for a game. He lives in Sandy and I live in SLC.
BTW welcome to Utah. :)
Not sure yet. Wanted to get the group together and see what works best for people. Friday night might be good (5pm-pass out) or on a Sat/Sunday 10am-6 or something.

Awww...well, don't let a bad experience or three get you down. :D
Our groups are often filled with various types of players, some who are RP juggernauts and some who are more quiet. As a long time AP and homebrew player, there's little doubt that some avenues naturally lend themselves to a more RPG rich experience. With that being said, Dan and I are working hard to encourage our players to RP better at the table (and how to do that). If that's something that interest you, perhaps you could join us sometime...even if it's just once in a while, or for one of our mega events! :) Regardless, I wish you the best adventures...we love Skulls & Shackles.

Curious how you guys are handling the ship combat? I've read nothing but complaints and though I haven't run it yet, just from the rules set forth all of the complaints (single-player focused, too slow) seem like they would be accurate.
And let me know how your Skulls and Shackles goes! I love to hear about the exploits of other parties in adventures that I've run before.
