Mounted Combat

Advice

I have never made a Mounted Character. I plan on making a level 13 human paladin for a one shot game that is out in the open. I am a little confused on mounted combat... Does the mount get to attack on a charge if it only uses one move action? If I stay in one spot and full attack can my mount attack also? Are the standard mounted builds the charge hit once and wheel to charge next round??

Standard treasure for the build (140k GP) Human Paladin with maybe access to a Griffon, Pegasus or hippogiff mount....

Help?? Please and Thank you :-)

I have a link in my profile to the 3.5 Rules of the Game articles on Mounted Combat. It's a good start for someone new to mounted combat. While it isn't PF specific, there are only limited changes between the two editions.

Thanks!! My interpretation is that the mount can get an attack if it doesnt double move (and I make the FA ride check) I also thin kthat feats like charge through and trample should be interpreted like the mount is taking the feat (since in my case my mount is getting feats to begin with ) so My mount can take improved overrun, Trample and Charge through and I use my feats for spirited charge and such.
