Tiger is much easier to actually use in combat it seems. Raptor seems to get shy about actually attacking sometimes.
Damn sorceress NPCs running ahead of me doing necromancy before I can grab the bones!
If I hear "FILTHY LUCRE!" one more time...

I think the Elf does have "some" spells, and if yes they are likely the item supplement type.
And I think a beast master character would be over powered, the mounts are powerful.
I currently have an Amazon, and plan on trying a new character after I finish the story so I have a small collection of characters I can use.

I reached lvl 7 with the elf, very nice all round char, but mostly i repeated the first area killing the harpy for fast xp and loot.
Did the first quest of the adventurer guild and the sceptre one for the princess....now should do the border fortress overcome by orcs for the evil duke guy.
What bugs me: equip degradation, at the magic shop you cannot choose what to sell and sell all items in your armory instead, can't pause the game (hate it), your followers don't level with you (less annoying, since you keep finding bones of higher level char).

The pause feature would likely of interfered a lot with the online play part, hence why it was not included.
And you can sell choose what is specifically sold in the magic shop.
I haven't try, i just read "sell all items in your armory" on the "sell items" voice.
Is it possible to leave in the armory only what you want to sell? I haven't look very much in inventory management.| Gandal |
And i still can't find how to move items between equip and armory.
Am finding a bit too easy how you can go back and forth from early dungeons and clean the area each time. Am elf level 11 and all of my companions are 12.....this means i keep cleaning the areas with the wyvern and that with the doom beetle in few minutes, gaining every time exp and loot, and can do so until i'm high enough level that new dungeons aren't that hard.

I am now convinced, given the strong amounts of love/hate that have resulted, that George Kamitani is the vidgame analogue of Wayne Reynolds, and would inflict grievous bodily harm on someone to get the Pathfinder Iconics rendered in the Dragon's Crown/Vanillaware style.
Hell, if I could afford it, I'd shell out the money to pay for the creation of Pathfinder Iconics DLC.

Did the hell hound quest, freaking hard but funny.
What are you all finding in terms of corpses to resurrect?
I'm elf 17 and am finding only amazons, sorceress and wizards....one dwarf here and there, elves too but fighters.
Pity i only want heavily armored tank plate in front of my elf ; are those NPCs randomly generated by the game or taken by those player-generated ones on the servers?
| Dragon78 |
The Golem Boss is easy if you have a golem of your own.
If you want challenging bosses then the Red Dragon, The Reaper one(only because he is invulnerable until you find out his weakness), and the Gargoyle Door Boss.
I found the Hellhound quest to be easy. The only quest I think will be hard will be some of the solo boss fights.
If your playing offline then they are randomly generated. I am not sure about online play though.

If this is a joke, i didn't like it. Once you reach the Lost Woods you have to pay 540 for the horses everytime you leave town?????
edit: tell you why; the quest for the doll in the mage tower costed me more gold than it gave me. I had to quit the quest three times before doing it right, and everytime had to buy a horse to leave town.
And i'm online finally, elf 19

The cost for the stables is based on your level.
I am currently a level 41 sorceress and I have beaten the game the first go around. You have to collect those 9 stones and beat the ancient dragon 3 times to revive each of the three goddesses.
It is not as hard to gain money once you can go through multiple dungeons in a row.

I "finished" normal mode with my fighter .... hard mode is harder especially at level 38 ^^. The fighter is fun, however the amazon is amazing too, I think the character has quite a high skill ceiling, and I think the comparison with a fighting game character is entirely accurate.
Regarding the "fanservice" I have come to the conclusion, that the amazon and the sorceress really aren't the worst offenders, especially since you really won't have the time to stare at them while playing.
While the game rides a fine line between homage and caricature, I think it's worth mentioning, that we don't have stupid fantasy armor with boob windows....
Yeah, I think the worst offenders might be the pictures you unlock by questing (even though a surprising number of them were actually drawn by female artists).
So what do you think? As I understand it, the artist wanted to "crank it up to 20" so everything looks kind of overstated. I heard that, he used early depictions of fertility goddesses as a base for the necromancer (the sorcerers giving life through her gravity defying breasts), and the amazon looks like a mix between a gender bend Conan the barbarian and Red Sonja with enough muscles to do all the crazy things she does ..
