Please tell us when we're getting out of hand. We don't need to be distracting you guys from doing Pathfinder and causing sprained wrists from wall-of-texts answering questions born out of our forum blood feuds.

And seriously, thanks for chatting with us across all of these. :)

If it gets too out of hand is there a sub forum or some place they could be placed to keep things from getting too cluttered?

YES.

Build us a sub-forum for all of our incessant questions! :D

I don't know. That might only encourage us...

The Last thing we need is encouragement.

I have often wondered how many question I would get if I started a Ask John Kretzer ALL Your Questions Thread....probably not many...and than I would get depressed and such...:(

Why not do it now? Because, I've just become really tempted to just start one for you.

Very much so yes, if we ever get annoying let us know, your not being forced to answer us (at least I hope not) but the fact that you do endears you to us all the more :3

Stay healthy, get plenty of rest, and keep up the awesome work Paizo one and all.

It is not like I actualy work for Pazio...it would probably be endless question of..."So what do you too for Pazio?" Even after a introduction.

I work in the campaign finance department. Would you care to make a contribution?

The awesome people of Paizo staff really have a great patience for all forum users questions. A theme for a particular forumnite like Kretzen can not be really interesting, but how about one like "Ask ALL your questions to -- forumnite players" where the only ones that can do questions where Paizo Staff?

Sigh...you could not have been nice and said probably?

Also got my name wrong.

*Begins walking away from the thread with the music from the end credit of the TV show The Hulk*

;)

Ok, ok, I will try to make some questions to you, Kretzer. ^^

What RPG do you play besides Pathfinder?
What are your favourite space saga?
Do you like comic superheroes? If yes, Marvel, DC or both?
What is your favourite Pathfinder class? And less favourite?

I hope you accept that as a little gift as an "sorry for that" ^^.

Alaryth wrote:

Currently I play Champions, Rifts, Legend of the Five Rings, and Iron Kingdoms. I am only running at this time a PF game.

I have played or runned All edition of D&D, Star Wars(the D6 and D20 versions), Gammaworld(not any of recent versions), Star Frontiers, Brave New World, GURPs, Chill, Star Ace, Deadlands(both the Weird West and Wasted West), 7th Sea, Werewolf and Vampire, Exalted, Scion, Top Secret, Traveler, Mechwarrior, one of the versions of Star Trek, and others I can't remember now.

I also own serveral RPGs that I have never got to play or run.

Alaryth wrote:

If you include TV sci-fi shows...Star Wars(the orginal three), Babylon-5, and Farscape.

Alaryth wrote:

Yes I generaly like Marvel better(though there are some DC characters I like)...but I have stopped reading them as I think the Marvel line got a little too out of control in number of characters etc.

Alaryth wrote:

I would have to say my favorite PF class to play is a tie between Witch, Druids, and Rogues. Though if I have a concept the class is fun. My least favorite at this time is the Summoner.

yes thank you. I hope I did not bore you too much. ;)

Oh, don't worry, that was funny.
Curiously, we have similar tastes; I like too things like L5R, Exalted and Farscape, are more Marvel than DC, my favourites are Witch and Inquisitor and the less liked Summoner.

While I think that thread would awesome ("Paizo staff asks forumites questions here!" or somesuch), there could swiftly arise a perception of favoritism that Paizo strives earnestly to avoid.

Now, a "Ask the Forums ALL Your Questions Here" thread could be entertaining. ;)

My only concerns about threads like these have been ones of use and utility conflicting with perception. I love that folks can come to these boards and ask for advice on running encounter X, get clarification on rule Y, or find insight into thing Z. Even better, other people who have the same questions might see those threads and have their questions answered without even having to ask. But that only really happens when the name of the thread is in the related forum with a title like "My Question About THIS!," not so much when it's in an off-topic forum with a name like "Ask the Lovesac Anything!"

Additionally, remember that these are off-topic discussions. Even if an in-world or rules question gets asked and answered, regardless of who answered it--Lisa, Vic, Erik, Jeff, James, Jason, Cosmo, Sutter, Me, the Lovesac, whoever--until it sees print in one of our books or official source that answer is NOT canon. We might go with a direction like that in the end, but only after the entire creative team has had their opportunities to weigh in. These threads are not meant to be a method of circumventing our in-house creative process or--intentionally or unintentionally--keep the folks who make the decisions about or world out of the loop. There will also ABSOLUTELY be topics and opinions raised in these threads that will NOT be the way those or similar ideas are presented in our actual products. That doesn't mean that these discussions aren't fun, inspirational, or insightful, but what's right for one creative off the cuff, or sounds right given their point of view, might not be exactly how we want to handle an idea in print. As such, taking anything you read in any of these off-topic discussions into other conversations and saying "Lisa, Vic, Erik, Jeff, James, Jason, Cosmo, Sutter, Wes, the Lovesac SAID..." amounts to about the same as "My buddy at the game table said."

It's helpful for us in-house at Paizo to remember this as well. I'd hate for anyone on our team to think that a discussion they had in this forum granted their voice priority over the other creative voices that that fill our conferences and brainstorms.

We've got a bunch of super talented, incredibly smart, frighteningly creative folks at Paizo, but it's really the collaboration and the shared world nature of our world and rules--both internally and with the larger community--that makes our best products sing. I love that folks are so interested in the great people behind the projects, but remember to take everything you read in this forum for what it is: off-topic and personal opinions--hopefully fun to read and helpful opinions, but not content staged for publication.

All that said! Thanks a ton everybody! These discussions have been really fun and a great way to get some crazy stories and wild ideas out there! :)

But seriously you have someone at Paizo called "The Lovesac" ? What are their areas of concern? HR?

I enjoy these threads because we can get to know the super talented people behind our favorite products.

I got into Pathfinder about three years ago (despite no background in table top and a shallow background in gaming in general) because of the high-quality work presented. I got into Pathfinder even more about a year ago after joining the community and seeing just how awesome, creative, and helpful the people behind the scenes are.

You guys have a customer for life based on your own merits as people first, and talented creators second.

Maybe I will start the the thread when they are too distracted by Paziocon...or Gencon. Than I will take over their site...muwhahahaha...

I am kidding of course.

My goal instarting the thread would just be to get to know people better. And to let people know me better...I have issues with that.

Also I have played some many different RPGs with soo many different groups...over sooo many years(30+) I think my experiences and insight could certainly help people.

I dunno ... this has suddenly exploded into, what, a half-dozen threads? Eesh.
