The chronicle sheet for everflame seems to treat it as a scenario. But we would hope players leave it Level 3 (6xp?) so they can continue into its sequel Masks of the Living God.
Am I missing something on the Chronicle sheet, in the module, about XP? Will my Chronicle sheets be rejected if i award 6XP for the module to get them to lvl 3? Shouldnt there be two or maybe 3 Chronicle sheets for a large module like Crypt of the Everflame?
thanks!

Great replies guys, this is an excellent forum!
Well Thors idea is a good one, if we didn't have a limited play schedule - this is for a short vacation we are planning for the future, we all live in different cities these days. Sadly I can only run Something Else, then Crypt.... or run Crypt then Masks. Crypt and Masks are just SO GOOD i think i have to go that way.
What i am digging about PFS is that it is a tool, even if you dont use PFS. Meaning, thanks to all the work people have done developing PFS, I now have a quick and clean checklist how to create PFS-allowed characters over email without rolling dice, which is a huge help since we all live in different cities and this Gaming Holiday is gonna probably be late this year or spring 2014. And you guys have done all the work of weeding out the wacky or unbalancing traits, feats, races, etc. Im sitting here next to the Core rulebook, Inner sea guide, advanced players, advanced races, inner sea magic, etc etc and it is overwhelming. The fact that PFS has done all the work of combining it all into one list of "these are fine, these are bad" is amazing and im grateful.
I am not sure if I will end up entering their characters into the PFS database, as I doubt they will ever play at a convention or in any other game but mine. But PFS is going to allow us to create some sane and playable characters over email/phone without rolling dice, and the Chronicle sheet is a great guide for me as a GM, even if i dont turn it in at the end.
Actually, what I think i will do is this:
- Create a character for myself. i saw rules for a GM being able to earn XP for his character for GMing. This will force me to learn the character creation ropes on myself, before messing it up with my players hehe!
- Create sanctioned characters with my Players
- Run Crypts, submit Chronicle sheets. Now they have official lvl 2 guys, and my character will earn xp too.
- Get them to lvl 3 so we can enjoy Masks, making those home-game copies not count or be legal to submit a chronicle.
- Run Masks w/non-sanctioned chars for fun, do not submit a chronicle, do not earn GM points of XP. As far as PFS is concerned we just ran Crypts and their characters are lvl 2 (not 4 or 5 at end of masks).
Assuming I tell them they cant run Masks ever again and try to get a Chronicle for it, this all seems legal to me. Their characters will be lvl 2, my char will be lvl 2, and all of us will be barred from playing in both Crypts and Masks both.

That is all well and good, but if you don't report or give out chronicle sheets for Masks, they can still go out and play it later for PFS credit in the future if they so desire.
If you are worried that they already know the story, don't worry that much. Even in PFS you are allowed to GM a scenario first and play it second. Of course, we ask that those players don't ruin it for everyone else, and keep player knowledge separate from character knowledge. But it is allowed.

Just for reference, this is not true. The players won't be able to play Masks... again, but you will be able to play it having GMed it. OTOH Crypt... is re-playable, so you can play it and GM it for credit as many times as you like, albeit only once each with a second level character.
I'm not sure if that was all true in 2013 (I think it was), but it definitely is now.
