Simple Question: Ability Damage

If a Shadow rolls a 20 with its touch attack and confirms the Critical Hit, is the Ability Damage (1d6 STR) doubled (2d6 STR)?

This is one thing I couldn't find in the rulebooks; it could very well be that I'm just not seeing it, but I would appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

I'm almost certain I've read somewhere that Ability Damage indeed doubles on a critical hit, but I can't recall where. Lemme see if I can find it.

EDIT: Found it! Well, sorta. On this page, in the critical hits section (control-f and type "critical hits" if you can't find it) it says that spells that cause ability damage or drain multiply on crits. It doesn't specifically say that monster abilities work the same way, but it seems like it would.

Thanks very much! That bit indeed seems to support the idea that the Shadow would inflict 2d6 STR damage on a Critical hit! Pretty nasty if you consider I'll be springing it upon helpless, sleeping PC's... Then again, they're level 5 and should know the game well enough by now to take precautions.
