Silver Crusade

Can you put a menacing enchantment on an Amulet of Mighty Fists? My GM and I are interpreting the wording of the item differently.

I'm not sure what there even is to interpret.

The AoMF can take melee weapon special abilities. Menacing is a melee weapon special ability.

It has no caveat that says it doesn't work with unarmed strikes, and doesn't even have an indirect description (only works with bladed weapons, only works on non-light weapons, etc.) barring it.

Silver Crusade

The AoMF says it can take melee weapon special abilities that can be applied to unarmed strikes. Can any melee weapon special ability be applied to unarmed strikes? And will the special abilities on the AoMF apply to a manufactured weapon, or only unarmed strikes?

Any ones that aren't excluded due to having a specific quality unarmed strikes don't qualify for.

Erm, only unarmed strikes since an AoMF has no effect on other weapons, just unarmed strikes and natural attacks.

Ok well that's what confused me because people were telling me to get a menacing AoMF for a ninja who uses an Elven curve blade.

They were telling you that because the Menacing enchantment only requires that you be wielding a weapon (in this case, your US) that has the Menacing enchantment when adjacent to a foe that's being flanked.

That way you're not wasting a potential +1 to your main weapon. A bit cheesy, but totally within the rules. And a mite expensive.

Silver Crusade

Yes but what if I'm using a two-handed weapon. I wouldn't have a hand free to execute an unarmed strike with.

Feet.

Silver Crusade

Gotcha.
