Big Game Hunter doesn't appear as one of selectable campaign traits for RotR campaign. Was it rewritten and now only appears "as is" in the People of the North (as per my Herolab, as I don't own the book)? If so, does that make the trait Big Game Hunter that appeared as a Campaign Feat in the original RotR null and void and no longer legal? I'd understand if it is, as the new trait only affects animals, and the old one affected ANYTHING Large or larger. I'd guess that the Giant Slayer campaign trait replaced it.

Big Game Hunter and the other "regional feats" that originally appeared in the Rise of the Runelords player's guide 6 years ago were not picked up for the Anniversary Edition.
Those feats were really nothing more than a prototype for the trait system we now use for our Adventure Paths.
Whether or not the old 3.5 feat from the original Player's Guide is game legal depends on your GM.
