Expanding Snows of Summer for extra players

Reign of Winter

Hi everyone

I have just started running Snows of Summer.
Party is 5 people with 20 point buy and each with 6 bonus hp and hero points.

They struggled up to the end of the bandits due to no one having good perception and no healing.

However they have now defeated the bandits and have hit level 2 meaning the 2 paladins have lay on hands.

As a result I believe I will have to adjust the later adventure due to higher points and the extra pc.

I am particularly concerned about Teb Knotten and Izoze now being poor challenges. Should I just add some class levels?
Has anyone got any advice

It just means they have two healers now. That's all. You have five players, so that's a decent size for the group. There's no real need to expand the difficulty - especially for 20 point builds.

Of course, there is the time-honored approach to the game: fudge rolls to make the combats more interesting. If a foe is hosing the party, have him be a glass cannon who goes under after a couple hits. If the foe is being hit hard and fast, have him have extra hit points that aren't on the sheets. It's not like they have stats specifically for each and every monster.

There are 5 in my group. IIRC we have a:
half-elf wizard (generalist) who is going to PRC into Mystic Theruge
halfling cleric of Desna
snowcaster elf rouge (very dirty fighter, so far the player has rolled 3 crits and 3 confirms).
human barbarian that is going to PRC into Mammoth Rider
gnome sylvan blooded sorcerer with a triceratops animal companion named Mollo.

Yeah, that's someone who's going to cast "Endure Elements" daily... on his companion! :D Neat-sounding group!
