I'm new to Society play and I did a few searches for newbie dm/gm guides...to my surprise I didn't find one.
Of course my search-fu is weak so it's possible I entirely missed it. :D
I figure others may go through what I did so I am going to jot down what I've learned so far and how my experience goes.
I've also annotated various materials with asterisks.
* = Costs money
** = Free
Note PDF versions of materials are available here on Paizo.com and usually run less, if you're on a budget. Prices are shown accordingly with print version first and then pdf version.
Required stuff:
===============
1) People
A GM->Probably you, if you're reading this. :)
3-6 friends.->Legal table size is 3-6 players.
2) Books
*Pathfinder Core ($50/$10)
*Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Pathfinder Society Field Guide ($20/$14)
**Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play (current version 4.3 as of this writing.)
3) An adventure to run.
**First Steps - I recommend these. A trilogy of adventures specifically designed for new players/characters. Introduces the world and setting.
4) A character for each player.
Paizo has pre-generated characters available.
They are located here-> http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/playerResources
Direct download link->
http://paizo.com/download/pathfinder/Pregens-Classes.zip
5) Pathfinder Society Numbers for you and every player.
IMPORTANT: You must have an event created first! See next entry below.
Paizo Website -> Pathfinder Society Section -> My Pathfinder Society -> GM/Event Coordinator tab -> Pathfinder Society Cards
-> Reserve 10 numbers, download, and print the cards.
6) Creating/reporting your event (a.k.a. the bookkeeping portion).
Thread on that is here How to Create/Report Session
This is what I've found, cobbled, and created so far.
I will update with corrections and changes as I go along.
Planned additions: optional resources, contacts, whatever else I missed from the Society process flow.
Suggestions, changes, link to where this has already been done? Thanks!

A couple of things you missed.

Also, everyone (GMs and players alike) should have a copy of or access to the Additional Resources to see what is legal for PFS play.
