Mob fighting rulings, what do you think?

By mob I don't mean 'monster or beast' first off. I'm talking about large scale battles in pf. How would you/have you done combat like this? Just ant to hear some ideas and mull some stuff around,

Well there are the mass combat rules in Kingmaker. Those are being reprinted in Ultimate campaign. I liked those a lot.
