Enchanting Firearms

I am wanting to use a gun with a Scout Ninja. I would be a human (for the extra feat) and enchant the gun with the Merciful enchantment. Merciful does not say it cannot be cast on ranged weapons. The only thing stopping this - Not sure if firearms can be enchanted...

They can.. but you need to have Gunsmithing to buy guns..did your scout get that?

Firearms can be enchanted following the normal rules for enchanting weapons. Merciful can be used on any weapon, including firearms!

So would this combination work?

Dragon Pistol with the feats Sap Adept and Sap Mastery (along with the quick reload feat) with a merciful enchantment?

So I at lvl 9 total (8 scout ninja, 1 gunslinger), I would be able to move 10 feet (or turn invisible), fire my gun, deal a scatter sneak attack damage to my enemies for a total of 1d6(gun) + 1d6 (merciful) + 4d6 (sneak attack) + 4d6 (sap mastery) for a total of ~ +10d6 (without other bonuses) to everyone within 15 ft cone?

I don't think you can use precision damage on scatter shots.
