Shoanti, as I understand them, are a human ethnicity rather than a race, so I'm not sure if the Adopted trait does or does not qualify a non-Shoanti human, or a member of another race altogether, for a Shoanti trait such as Shoanti Steed.
More specifically, I want to have a non-human who was brought up by the Shoanti and has the Shoanti Steed trait. Is this doable via the Adopted trait, or no?
Shoanti Steed is a race trait and its required race is Human (Shoanti). If you're Adopted by a Human (Shoanti) family, you qualify.
To put it another way, if Shoanti are a race for the purpose of prerequisites of race traits, they are likewise a race for the purpose of the Adopted trait.
