So how to convert Frog from Chrono Trigger into a Paizo-only PF character?
20pt-buy, for a party that is not based around the Chrono Trigger premise, so other characters might not be built for teamwork.
My first idea is a Grippli Cavalier, because of both the Tactician ability, that gives him teamwork feats that other characters don't have to have and because of his general knightly nature.

I played a Grippli Paladin named Glenn for a two-shot game. High Acrobatics (for all his jumping - probably want an Agile Breastplate), Diplomacy (chivalry!), the alternate racial ability that gives them the tongue attack (and ask your GM if you can houserule it to use Lay on Hands with it - heal via Slurp!), channel positive (for his healing spells), and some magic, plus definite skills with a sword. Go bastard sword or greatsword two-handed, make lots of jumping charges - Spring Attack and/or Vital Strike might be good ideas, as well as the obvious smites (doubly so if your GM lets VS be used with SA as I do).
Frog Squash is gonna have to be homebrewed somehow though ;)

I thought he'd be a Human Paladin turned into a grippli to be honest. High charisma, gallantry, with a bit of healing. Its been a long time since I've played Chrono trigger though.
This is probably one of the better options. Or you could deviate from the concept and make him a Samurai. Given the Japanese feel of the game it's not a stretch.
One funny thing I just thought of though. How could anyone name a sword Masamune and make it a traditional long sword? It should be a damn katana.

It was only called Masamune in the English translation. In Japanese it was called Grandleon.
Samurai would be a pretty good way of doing Crono though, but it pretty much requires Gestalt to put a spellcasting class on him.

Okay looking at the ARG entry for grippli i think going with the Jumper (always considered to have running start for jumps, replaces campuflage) and Princely (rapier proficiency, +2 Intimidate and Diplomacy, replaces swamp stride and Net proficiency) alternate racial traits as well as the agile tongue feat are obvious choices.
I think paladin also makes more sense than cavalier, considering his abilities. Considering lay on hands is treated as a melee touch attack it should even work with the tongue, even without having to houserule it. There might be some room for debate though.
