Question about detecting Invisibility

Rules Questions

I had a quick question about a combat situation I recently had in a game. Two of my characters were attacking an invisible character that they knew exactly which square he was in. When it was the invisible character's turn, he ran full speed away from the combat to escape with his life.

I know an attack of opportunity is impossible on an invisible character. However; if that invisible character runs during his turn and the party members engaged in combat with him are able to detect this movement (perception check)...would they thus earn an attack of opportunity?

Just wondering and I greatly appreciate any help.

No AoA for total concelment ever. You would need to be able to see him for him to provoke. Since he did not do a stealth check you could find it easier where it ran to.
