One thing of Paizo’s Pathfinder (Among many awesome things) I really am in love with is Pathfinders artwork, both their action poster, portraits and standalone monster/hero/NPC/item artwork are most of the time awesome and stunning in looks.
First of all I want to thank All artists of Paizo for doing such a fine job all these years! I hope to see much more artwork from you guys in the future!
Now for the Topic, here you can wish for artwork you like to see in future Pathfinder products, if you like you can name the artists you like to see it draw and the book you like to see it in too.
You can wish for:
- New Poster Art = The awesome action posters of Paizo, is it about stunning landscapes, heroes fighting monsters or evil NPC’s.
- New Portraits Art = The heads of your favorite heroes or NPC’s? Wish for it here.
- New standalone artwork = The artwork of monsters, NPC’s or heroes without any background attached to it.
- Art you like to see redone = Don’t like a particular piece of artwork or would you like to see some monsters/NPC’s done better?
- New art = Do you want to see art done by your favorite artist that has never been done before? Wish for it here too.
If you like to talk about existing artwork you can do it here too, or maybe if you like to thank a artist for all their work.

We've seen WAR's depictions of the Pathfinder Red Dragon (Core Rulebook), Black Dragon (Beginner's Box) and Blue Dragon (Gamemastery Guide), so I'm eager to see the WAR full page pictures of the Green and White Dragons! (And perhaps some metallics, as well? If Paizo ever does an 'evil PC guide' or whatnot, a couple of naughty adventurers squaring off against a Silver or Gold might make for an appropriate cover shot.)
Artistic preferences are, of course, subjective, but I wouldn't mind a different picture for the Marilith, for example, and a less disproportionate Sahuagin.
I have no idea which artists did what, but in Seeker of Secrets, the various Pathfinder NPCs headshots at the bottoms of various pages were pretty amazing, and the Prestige Class 'iconics' were similarly awesome. More NPCs like that, definitely!
3.0 had a few 'not quite Iconics,' like the Dwarven cleric (Eberk?) and the Human Rogue (Kerwin?) and the Mayan-looking Human Wizard (Naull, ah, how I miss Todd Lockwood's art!).
It might mix things up again, and defeat the entire purpose of having 'Iconics' (for ease of art management) in the first place, but a few other options could be fun from time to time (such as that as-yet-unnamed Tengu cleric from the cover of the Advanced Race Guide), or even using some of the Prestige Class pictures as 'backup Iconics,' such as the Dwarven Loremaster or the Human Duelist or the whatever-it-was-originally Dragon Disciple.
Indeed, a scene with those four as 'Iconics,' instead of Valeros, Seoni, etc. could be funky!
Much more artwork of people in non-Eurocentric outfits. I really want to know how soldiers in Osirion dress, for example. Do they wear the same heavy armor? Egypt (or Persia, etc.) didn't have a whole lot of 'plate mail,' so, in a fantasy world where fantasy Egypt's best armor is indeed plate, what would it look like? Of the 'big five' nations, several Iconics seem at home in Varisia, and Kyra provides a glimpse into Qadiran adventuring gear, but Alhazra really doesn't give much of a hint as to what an Osirioni who isn't a belly-dancer would wear.
Heart of the Jungle, by way of example, didn't offer much in the way of pictures of Mwangi at all, let alone an armored Mwangi warrior / fighter / cavalier / etc. (Unless we were meant to get the impression that all Mwangi dress more or less like the Iconic Paladin on p. 11 and 48...)
