3rd Character For my Party

Advice

Doing a duet campaign, just me and the DM.
Party so far is a level 4 greatsword wielding Paladin, and a level 3 Cleric. Pretty sure I have healing down.
The rules are pretty simple Core Rule Book, 2d6+3 point buy,(yes the dm hates me), new characters have to start at level one.

Pros:
Rouge
Skill points
Flanking Buddy
Trap Finding (yeah the DM through 3 traps at me in the last dungeon.)

Wizard:
Decent skill points if I bump Int enough.
Great CC options as levels progress.

Open to ideas and suggestions.

Two Person Party, eh?

Well, let's see.

The Party Picker says: You need some ranged damage, and you need some skill points. You could also use somebody who debuffs, and somebody who can find traps. You're good on melee, healing, tanking, magic, and being the party face.

It's going to be hard to find somebody who fits the bill exactly, but here's what the party picker says. Either:

Urban/Ranged Barbarian for traps and ranged.

Vanilla rogue for traps and skills (and yes, you've got flanking buddies)

My vote is Urban/Ranged Barbarian.

Let's see, they don't have disable device as a class skill, don't have trap finding and usually are pitiful on intelligence meaning skills. Take the rogue.

Ranged focused archeologist bard/ arcane archer.

Thanks for the responses fellas.
I guess I didn't make something clear. We are really playing with simply the core rulebook.

So rouge is looking more and more like the way to go.

Though having a wizard for item Identification...

Stat break down for points buy? I rolled and have 10 skill points.

My Thoughts.

Str 11
Con 14
Dex 15
Wis 10
Int 10
char 7

Don't jump the gun too soon... Rogue is a sub- optimal choice. A bard can do everything that the party picker suggested.

Bard ain't a bad choice - but the second a headband of vast charisma comes up, there will be blood!

Go with an all divine party. Inquisitor maybe? What is your deity? And most importantly, why are the characters at different levels? What does your group benefit from this?
