Enhanced Healing - Bonus Healing Points

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

After the unfortunate demise of his Cleric in the final fight with Xanesha, the player decided to replace her with another Cleric. This time the new cleric has enhanced healing so she heals +50% on her cure spells.

If she casts a spell that heals 3d8 points of damage and is 8th level, suppose the total of the 3 dice was 12. Would the total healed be:
12+8+10 or 12+8+6. Basically does the +50% include the level that gets added to the dice roll total or just the dice roll then add the level.

Do you mean the Empowered Spell metamagic feat?

Empower Spell (Metamagic)
You can increase the power of your spells, causing them to deal more damage.
Benefit: All variable, numeric effects of an empowered spell are increased by half including bonuses to those dice rolls.
Saving throws and opposed rolls are not affected, nor are spells without random variables.
Level Increase: +2 (an empowered spell uses up a spell slot two levels higher than the spell's actual level.)

If so then the +50% bonus would apply to the Cleric's level as well.

No no the Empowered Spell feat. This is listed under the Healing domain in the cleric's class description. I am at work so don't have my book here, but I thought it was called Enhanced Healing but I may be wrong on that point.

Healer's Blessing. It seems that it works like Empower Spell as it does not stack with it. As far as I recall calculate the healing from the spell normally, including level bonus and then multiply by 1-1/2.

Great! Thanks for the quick response Memento and Drejk!
