Where do i go from here?

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

So I have played my lore warden /paladin up to levels 6 and 2 respectively. I have +1 mithril full plate, a +1 cold iron/+1 mithril meteor hammer, and the following feats: Weapon focus, Combat expertise, weapon specialization, power attack, improved and greater trip, combat reflexes, two weapon fighting and improved two weapon fighting.

When I hit 9th level, I am kind of at a loss of where to go feat wise. I am considering improved critical - he has 4 attacks per round, with a 20 crit weapon, so maybe the sheer number of dice rolled will work out. After that....more two weapon fighting feats? double slice (would that work with power attack?)? Bleeding critical? Other manuveur related feats?

What do you folks think?

Oops...cannot take bleeding critical

this should really be in the advice forum

Depending on which class you are taking, it may affect feat choices.

Improved/Greater Disarm
Extra Lay-on-Hands
Extra Channel

Improved Critical
Two-Weapon Defense
Dodge

Cosmopolitan
Dilettante

Skill Focus (any)

If human, Eclectic might be worthwhile, as it would let you add the second class as a favored class
If human, Fast Learner might be worthwhile after Eclectic, so you get both HP and Skill points
From this, maybe go for the Improvisation chain.

Toughness, since you will be on the front line

Endurance/Die Hard (stay awake at negatives, long enough to be able to use that Swift action to LoH yourself)

Improved Initiative

Heck, depending on circumstances, Additional Traits might be good to add a couple of new class skills with a +1 trait bonus.

Shadow Lodge

A good feat for when you cant use a full attack action is felling smash.

Dark Archive

I would go with Lunge. You're dependant on a full attack to get your optimum damage, and an extra five feet of reach will give you that option a lot more.

@kinevon: I wouldn't recommend Eclectic to anyone unless they were dripping with feats, were multiclassed in a 50/50 split, and already had Toughness. Having paladin as a favoured class will give him a grand total of two hit points or skill points. Fast Learner is another feat that is outclassed by Toughness unless he wants to spend his high level feats (these are the good ones that require high BAB) to get a few bonuses to skills.

Dangit every time I scroll past this title I get the song from the Buffy musical stuck in my head.

"Why is the path unclear / When we know home is near? / Understand we'll go hand in hand / But we'll walk alone in fear! Tell me / where do we go from here?"
