Keeping in mind that 12.000 words should be around 25 pages in a novel, my guess, for a single post would be aching fingers/hands and maybe some blood splatters on the keyboard...

Probably so for a normal post. My plan is, once my RotRL campaign is over, to post all of our session summaries to the forum. I'd like to hide each one under a spoiler tag, but that doesn't help the raw length (be it characters, words, etc.) of the post. If each summary is 2-3 pages and I'm expecting 35-40 sessions, it could be quite long and it's nice to know how many summaries I can stuff in a single post before the need to break it apart.

Just another tidbit: I have a player who has put some effort into writing the summaries in the form of Pathfinder-style, first-person letters to his PC's wife. He's done a pretty good job of it and I think it would be cool to share once the campaign is played out.
