I have been looking for a way to Craft Wands faster than the base time. I always thought you could half the time by adding 10 to the approriate DC (usually spellcraft), but I can't find that rule in the book (or online). Was that a 3.5 rule?
If I wanted to craft a Deathward wand, the base cost is 21,000gps - that means 21 days. Is that it, the best that can be done, or can I turn that into 11 days by raising the DC from (5+7) 12 to (+10) 22. If I am truly awesome in spellcraft, can I risk halfing it again, 6 days, by going for a 32?

It wasn't a 3.5 rule - 3.5 didn't have a DC to make magical items. Creation was automatically successful provided you spent the required time, gold, experience points, and had the required prerequisites.
Pathfinder does have a way to craft magical items faster, however.
This process can be accelerated to 4 hours of work per 1,000 gp in the item's base price (or fraction thereof) by increasing the DC to create the item by +5.
You can still only work a maximum of 8 hours per day on an item. So if you increast the check DC by +5, and work 2 4-hour shifts, you can halve the time required to make an item (2000gp of progress per day instead of 1000gp).
And it doesn't say you can keep upping the DC to make it faster, so I doubt you can. Still, halving the time is better then nothing.
