Poor man's Hound Archon

Advice

I was thinking of an angel blooded paladin of vengeance with a lore oracle (sidestep secret) build... You know, standard stuff. Then I came upon the wolf-scarred face curse and immediately thought of a hound archon. You think it would work flavor wise to say that my character is descended from a hound archon?

Grand Lodge

Yes.

The non-crunch options for physical characteristics allow for a Hound Archon like Aasimar.

Angel kin Aasimar (traits needed)

Str: 17 (+2)
Dex: 9
Con: 14
Int: 13
Wis: 9
Cha: 17 (+2)

1) Paladin- power attack
2) Oracle- lore mystery (sidestep secret)/ wolf- scarred face curse
3) Paladin- extra mystery (mental acuity +1 int)
4) Paladin- +1 cha
5) Paladin- extra LoH
6) Paladin-
7) Paladin- feat needed
8) Paladin- +1 str

Grand Lodge

Just to let you know, you don't need the wolf-scarred face curse to get the look.

The physical characteristics are available to the Aasimar race.

But he would not gain a bite attack. That might be enough to take the curse.
I might steal the idea of an 1 level dip to oracle with wolfscarred curse for my stonelord paladin. But I would not go lore, because of the low cha.

Grand Lodge

Oh, there are many ways to gain a bite attack.

Just letting you know that there are other paths.

Thanks for the tips, but I was going to dip a lvl of oracle anyway, and I found a curse that actually goes with the concept... The only difference is I am doing angel kin instead of archon blooded... I will admit to a faint odor of cheese.

Grand Lodge

Don't use that term.

Aasimar are multiblooded.

There is no "cheese" here.

I mean the fact that I am using angle kin instead of archon stats for what is flavor wise a hound archon.

Grand Lodge

Not so much. Your Celestial bloodline is muddied, like most Aasimar.

You may have prominent features of one, mixed with another.

Ok, no cheese, all awesome! Are there any traits that could help me out with this build?

Grand Lodge

Focused Mind.

There is very little you can get to boost concentration. This is one way.

Not too worried about concentration... Or should I be?

Grand Lodge

When you need it, you really need it.

Anything that pumps initiative is a good choice too.

Are angel kin Aasimar PFS legal even?

Grand Lodge

Yes.

Well I'm about to run this as my first official PFS character.
